Added on 11th May 2011
Have taken dash apart all dails have been sent away for renewal as escort cosworth uses el dials so no blubs. Also ordered a ESC-10 engine monitor for the cossy and having some laser cut parts done to mod the dash to fit monitor in but taking 3-4week to build the monitor :-(

Cossy update

Added on 27th April 2011
After taking the cosworth to RS Central day and looking  at all the other cosworth onwers around me I notic that not even one had a stone chip and my one is coved in them I think its time to have the bumper resparyed. I am now going to take the car off the road for a month to do some work the list is as follwed
front bumper respay
Engine cam pully cover chrome
lots of black power coating to make everything brand new
Have a look at reseal floor pan
DS2500 front pads
then I think it will be time to ring my insurance as i am paying a lot of money when i am only driving the car less then a 1000 mile a year. Time to work out a better deal or I will only insure the car for 6 months a year as I we be only using it in the summary

Dwayne Mason

Added on 13th June 2010

The Ford Escort RS Cosworth has been  a dream car for many since its inception in 1992. The main selling point was the Cosworth YBT engine, a highly tunable turbocharged 2-litre engine which had an output of over 224bhp. This is just one of the many reasons that Dwayne fell in love with this car. Over the years he has had a range of cars but he did not want to put as many miles on the car as his job would have entailed.

When Dwayne changed for his new job as a Financial Advisor at HSBC in central london he knew he did not really need a car which meant it was the perfect chance to buy a weekend car. After many search's he finally found one from a Ford show room that had everything he wanted and the perfect opportunity to build his AWD monster he has always wanted.

Since he has purchased the car it has gone into a  range of tuning garages to make sure all the modifications are bullet proof. Keep your eyes posted as there is more to come.
